Claim your property

Before you can raise a Check you must add (claim) the property and show your connection to it.

  1. 1

In your account, choose “Add a property” and search by postcode or the billing authority reference (it is on your rates bill and in your pack).

  2. 2

Say how you are connected (occupier, owner, or both) and the date it started.

  3. 3

Upload evidence: usually a recent business rates bill, a lease, or proof of ownership.

  4. 4

Submit. The Valuation Office can take up to 15 working days to confirm the claim.
